What started as a simple tip from our Uber driver turned into one of the highlights of our trip. Amante is perched above a rocky cove with breathtaking sea views that no photo can fully capture. We came for lunch but stayed far longer, lulled by the sea breeze and ambient music.
The plankton rice with prawns was outstanding—delicately flavored and expertly cooked. We also tried the croquettes and squid ink risotto with scallops, both memorable. The setting is chic yet welcoming; we arrived straight from a hike and were greeted with warmth. When we mentioned it was a birthday, dessert arrived with a candle, no fuss.
Service was mostly attentive, though another table had a delayed order. The loungers book fast—advanced reservation is smart, but we managed to grab two on the same day. Prices are on the higher end, but so is everything else: the food, the view, and the atmosphere.
